PM: Hydrocarbon revenue of Russian budget falls to 45%
GORKI, Moscow Region, Feb 5 (PRIME) -- The share of revenue from sales of hydrocarbons in Russia’s budget fell to 45% from 70% several years ago, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting with members of the United Russia party.
“Some years ago our revenue from hydrocarbons amounted to 70% of revenues of the state budget. We were significantly dependent on this 70% needle. Later it fell to about 55%. Now it stands at 45%. Yes, it is also connected with the current prices. But it means that we are able to feed ourselves without that just like we did when oil was not present in our exports,” he said.
“We need to change, to use the situation. I am calling on everyone to do it, my colleagues in the party and entrepreneurs.”
